Motherboard
An old laptop that had a broken screen finally gave out. The casing was falling apart and had been for a while now. No one really used it except my dad for youtube at night for a few minutes. Since the screen was the main issue-as not only was it cracked pretty badly, it was literally breaking free from the hinges-I removed its motherboard in hopes that I can get it to work again through an HDMI outlet.
Long story short, I did. Except...the display wasn't working. The HDMI port is very likely busted. I've got another super old laptop that doesn't work due to a faulty motherboard, so since they're of the same brand and near identical looks, I'm going to try replacing that motherboard with the working one I've got. Hopefully this results in it working.
